Planning Around Tight Schedules

Between their hectic work lives and a six-hour drive from Memphis, Lauren and Brian didn’t have much flexibility. My spring and summer calendar was also packed, so finding a time that worked for all of us already felt like a small miracle. Then the forecast hit.

Storms. Rain alerts. Power outages.

Rescheduling just wasn’t an option, so we made the call to push through.

Embracing the Chaos

As I drove the hour to Roswell Mill, the weather was intense—wind, rain, and alerts blaring from the radio. Honestly, it was a little nerve-wracking. But by the time we arrived, the storm had softened into a light drizzle.

And you know what? That drizzle set the scene for one of the coziest engagement sessions I’ve had all season.

The Beauty of a Rainy Engagement Session

We took full advantage of the covered bridge at the mill and brought along clear umbrellas for the perfect moody, romantic vibe. Lauren’s mom held bags and umbrellas over my head like a total MVP, while her future sister-in-law helped wrangle their sweet pup between photos.

It was a little chaotic—but it was our kind of chaos. The kind that makes for real, joy-filled memories (and dreamy photos too).
