A Sentimental Wedding at Charming Wildflower 301

Jess and Alex reached out to me for their engagement photo session at Truist Park, and I was thrilled to be part of their journey. A year later, I had the pleasure of capturing their sentimental wedding at Wildflower 301, a charming garden wedding venue nestled just beyond Atlanta.

The Love Story of Jess and Alex

Jess and Alex crossed paths for the first time in January of 2016 during the celebrations of Alex’s college roommate’s birthday party in Athens. Guided by fate through mutual friends, sowed the seeds of a love story that would unfold over the course of six beautiful years! And then, on May 29th, Alex proposed to Jess on their cruise vacation, surrounded by the very same friends who had introduced them to each other (!!!).

Sentimental Touches and Meaningful Gestures: Unforgettable Georgia Outdoor Wedding Day

Jess proved to be one of the most sentimental brides I’ve ever worked with. Her wedding day was filled with meaningful gestures and cherished mementos. The locket on her bouquet held rose petals from the flowers Alex had given her on their very first date, symbolizing the blossoming of their love.

Nostalgic Moments and Meaningful Tributes: Jess’s Heartfelt Father-Daughter Pre-Wedding Rituals

Following a heartfelt first look with her father, Jess engaged in a game of catch with a baseball and glove. A nostalgic activity from their childhood that held a special place in their hearts. She also presented her father with a cherished fishing lure, a tribute to his passion for fishing.

Scented Memories and Baseball Bonds

Jess and Alex exchanged specially chosen cologne and perfume to create lasting scent memories of their wedding day. Furthermore, their shared love for baseball was celebrated when his brother gifted them a unique “wedding day ball” – encapsulating their passion for the sport in a treasured keepsake. For that reason, Jess and Alex’s wedding day was a beautiful tapestry of sentimental moments and thoughtful gestures that reflected their deep love and connection.

The Best of Both Worlds: Traditional First Look and Private Vow Exchange

Jess and Alex chose to have a traditional first look at the wedding aisle. Nevertheless, they also had a private vow exchange prior to the ceremony. This was a deeply touching and intimate moment they cherished before exchanging their “I Do’s.”

Baseball-Inspired Guest Book: The Heartfelt Symbolism

Their guest book was incredibly meaningful to them, serving as yet another symbol of their shared love for baseball—a home plate. Positioned at its center were their names and wedding date. This area was covered to prevent people from signing there. I loved how they intentionally chose the colors of the markers to reflect the love for their favorite baseball team – The Atlanta Braves!

Symbolizing Generations of Love with a Heirloom Wedding Topper

As an illustration to the timeless connection between their love story and generations gone by, Alex chose a wedding topper that held deep sentimental value. The very same wedding topper that was on her parents’ wedding cake.

Kind Words from Jess + Alex

“Booking Rachel was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! She went above and beyond for us and our Wedding! Our engagement session at the battery was everything I dreamed of and the pictures from the wedding captured every part of the day. Looking back at our photos is like reliving the entire wedding day! If you’re looking for a photographer who provides awesome photos in a timely manner, is down to earth, and will be there for you, book Rachel!”

A Perfectly Colorful Georgia Wedding Day

I was absolutely captivated by every moment of Jess and Alex’s wedding day. Bathed in the warm Georgia sun, the day was a radiant tapestry of colors, blending blues, pinks, and yellows. Above all, with the delightful touch of their shared passion for baseball, the day couldn’t have been more perfect!
