Looking for wedding exit ideas?! I got you covered!
Before we get into the the top 5 wedding exits you can do at your reception, let me share a few things to consider when planning the exit.
You don’t have to wait until the end of the reception!
Waiting until 11pm to do your send off is great, but you have options!
You can do a faux exit a couple hours into the reception. By doing this, half of the guests haven’t left yet making your exit line much fuller! Also you can cut back on reception coverage time for your photographer, allowing them to arrive earlier in the day when timelines are more rushed!
Another option is to do a daytime exit. If you are having your ceremony at a church you can have your guests line up outside as you run through family photos. Trust me it can take a solid 15-20 minutes to line up 100+ people for an exit!
Okay, now to what you really came here for!
Top 5 wedding exits
1. Sparklers
This is definitely the most requested exit and it’s obvious why! There is nothing more glory and romantic than those burst of sparkling light as you leave with your new spouse!
2. Rice / Bird Seed
An oldie, but a goodie! Although rice has become a little more controversial, bird seem will give a, safer, yet similar effect. This is a great option if you opt for a church exit or faux exit while there is still light out!
3. Bubbles
Bubble exits can be done during the day OR at night! And if gives you such a fun and whimsical vibe during the day. When you do them at night, you still have that whimsical feel but it makes it a little more artsy!
4. Glow Sticks
You want a hype exit?! Get you some glow sticks! You may be leaving the reception but that doesn’t mean the party has to stop. There’s just something about those lights that bring up the energy!
